I write code so clean you could eat off of it.*

Thanks for viewing my portfolio. I’m a driven, resourceful web developer with over ten years of experience building outstanding websites of every scope for a wide range of clients. I thrive on turning new challenges with tight timetables into user- and client-friendly solutions.

I jump on every opportunity I can to make the web a better place: I spent several years on the web team of a national award-winning agency before being tapped to help establish a new print/web/identity creative from the ground up as the lead web developer. I also enjoy freelancing in every capacity and am currently available for freelance projects, so if you have one you’d like to discuss, be sure to get in touch.

While I can do just about everything, my best skills include:

  • HTML / XHTML
  • CSS
  • PHP
  • JavaScript and jQuery
  • WordPress and CMS integration
  • cross-browser support (even IE6!)
  • custom PHP solutions
  • copywriting and editing
  • eblasts and enewsletters
  • thorough client documentation
  • search engine optimization (SEO)
  • onsite client training

While you’re here, take a look at my work, learn more about me, then say hello—I’d love to hear from you.

Yup, that’s me

As of May 2011 I’ve started my own small design and development agency named Clever + Swift. Head over to our company website to learn more about us and see some of our most recent projects.

About Back to top

I hope that my passion for what I do is evident in all of the projects above and every new project I continue to build. I do this work because I love it and because no other field could make me happier.

I was hooked on web development the moment the Internet reached me, but followed a circuitous path to doing it professionally. I studied drawing and painting at the University of Georgia before shifting gears and graduating magna cum laude in 2005 with a BA in English. After graduation, I found success in a variety of fields before finally deciding to follow my passion. I quit my job, started a one-man web design company and freelanced before joining the team at The Adsmith. Since then I’ve been constantly tackling bigger challenges, learning the latest technologies and techniques, and making every project the best that it can be.

When I’m not neck-deep in code I enjoy spending my time reading, sewing and crafting things, working out, diligently renovating my 90-year-old home, eating anything that isn’t nailed down or still kicking, collecting art, travelling domestically and abroad, and making my friends laugh.
